Keynote Speakers

Here are the keynote speakers for the 2017 School of Performing Arts Conference.

1. Esi Sutherland-Addy is a Ghanaian academician, writer, educationalist, and human rights activist. She is a Professor at the Institute of African Studies, where she has been senior research fellow, Head of the Language, Literature, and Drama Section, and Associate Director of the African Humanities Institute Program at the University of Ghana. She is credited with more than 50 publications in the areas of education policy, higher education, female education, literature, theatre and culture and serves on numerous committees, boards and commissions locally and internationally.

 

2. Professor Jonothan Neelands PhD, DSc is a National Teaching Fellow, Professor of Creative Education at the Warwick Business School (WBS) and Chair of Drama and Theatre Education at the University of Warwick. In addition to his academic profile, he is an experienced creative workshop leader and drama practitioner, with a national and international reputation for delivering high quality keynotes, executive education and master classes. Recently, he was Director of Study for the Warwick Commission on the Future of Cultural Value and Research Project Director for the Creative Industries Federation. He is Director of Research on the Executive Bid Committee for Coventry City of Culture 2021.
